OX
Born in: 1913, 1925, 1937, 1949, 1961, 1973, 1985, 1997, 2009
The male Ox can look forward to a better year in 2009 compared to his female counterpart, as far as romance is concerned. The female Ox can only expect short term romances and has to even take the initiative at times. On the other hand, with the star Tai Yin shining on them, which represents influential women to help them out, the male Ox can expect luck in love and is likely to meet someone he likes. Tai Yin is also known as a Star of Wealth. So if the male Ox is working under a female supervisor, he can expect a better chance of development in career. But Tai Yin is slow yet steady. This means that the Ox should not rush his way or he stands to lose it all.
Another lucky star is Guo Yin, which is an authority star. This can be interpreted as progress recognized and achieved with much authority. Unfortunately, unlucky stars Guan Suo, Gou Shen, Di Sha and Tian Sha could cause clashes, financial disputes and even blackmailing. These can cause turbulence in the Ox´s otherwise beautiful career path for the Year. It is advised that he/ she should work on interpersonal relationships skill, an Ox´s weakest point.
Tiger
Born in: 1914, 1926, 1938, 1950, 1962, 1974, 1986, 1998
The Tiger should learn to hold his temper in the year of the Ox because of the unlucky stars Wu Gui, Di Sha, Zhi Bei and Guan Fu who all connote poor human relationships. He should read every detail of the documents, specially the "fine print" in order to avoid legal problems in the future. The Tiger should be extra cautious with his colleagues and beware of backstabbers. There is also a possibility of a lover getting suspicious of an affair. The star Zhi Bei literally means backstabbing while Wu Gui represents backstabbers. So gossips and rumors being spread by these backstabbers could ruin the Tiger´s relationships. It may not be smooth ride for the Tiger, as he needs to overcome many hurdles before enjoying the fruits of success.
But it is really not a bad year after all with the lucky star San Tai shining upon the Tiger. It represents steady progress and career promotion.
Rabbit
Born in: 1915, 1927, 1939, 1951, 1963, 1975, 1987, 1999
The Rabbit can look forward to a better time because of the number of stars of relationships shining on him/her. After many changes like reunions, separations, arguments and changing jobs, things will be more stable and favourable. The star of Harmony Yue De symbolizes excellent human relationships and can turn dangers into opportunities. The Rabbit will have supporting people around him. The star Sui He represents harmony between spouses. Two stars of love, Tao Hua and Xian Chi make the Rabbit more attractive and charming than ever before. Married Rabbits however should try hard to resist temptations. For Single Rabbits, it is a good year to pursue love because there is a good chance that they will be accepted.
Lastly, Xiao Hao and Si Fu are two stars the Rabbit should beware of as Xiao Hao represents minor financial loss, which could be brought about by entertaining more friends. Si Fu on the other hand represents an elderly male family member who might suffer ill health and should be given special attention.
Dragon
Born in: 1916, 1928, 1940, 1952, 1964, 1976, 1988, 2000
Year of the Ox would be bringing in major good and bad changes. Joyful events could help minimize or offset the occurrence of possible mishaps. Without any lucky key stars shining on the Dragon in 2009, there wouldn´t be any important accomplishments for him. In fact, he should avoid being involved in any forms of investment or gambling as he is likely to be at the losing end. The unlucky star Lan Gan can set obstacles on his career path, which is why the Dragon should really be prepared for anything in the coming year.
Being around influential people is also not advisable as the star Sui Po might cause him to offend them, and the star Yue Sha might bring troubles caused by women. One way to avoid these is by constant travelling. Being constantly on the move can help minimize the effects of the negative energies.
Snake
Born in: 1917, 1929, 1941, 1953, 1965, 1977, 1989, 2001
First, unlucky stars, Tian E and Wang Shen could influence your family and cause elderly members to be sick, so give them more time and attention. Bao Bai, on the other hand, signifies drastic fluctuations. In relationships, this can cause the Snake to be on an emotional roller coaster. As for financial investments and businesses, the Snake should be ready for sudden ups and downs. This is where "saving for the rainy days" would help.
Many lucky stars influence career and love. Hong Luan is a powerful star of Relationships and Snakes who have been in a relationship for quite some time would finally be able to get married. However, the Snake should watch out for love triangles and avoid them.
The star Zhi Wei could cause improved leadership skills, as well as assistance from influential people. With the star Lu Xun shining on him, the Snake can expect promotion and raise. Both the salaried as well as entrepreneurs will make progress in career and wealth. Indeed, the coming year looks promising to the Snake, compared to previous years.
Horse
Born in: 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954, 1966, 1978, 1989, 2002
The Horse should be prepared for both good and bad extremes. The lucky star Jiang Xing represents bravery, stamina and persistence in success. It signifies better social status and leadership skills, benefiting the Horse involved in upper management, disciplinary teams and key positions in large corporations. The star Di Lie could bring major problems, but with the help of influential people he would be able to solve them. Another star, Di Jie signifies moving. This could mean a new house, real estate or furniture.
Bai Fu is a star that signifies animal bites. Horses who have pets or who are working closely with animals should take extra caution. Another interpretation for the star Bai Fu is a woman without sense who might bring great annoyance to the Horse.
The star Jin Gui will bring good luck and Horses can expect to make progress and some changes in their environment. However, special attention should be given to their own physical and mental health and that of their family members.
Goat
Born in: 1919, 1931, 1943, 1955, 1967, 1979, 1991, 2003
You can look forward to better luck in love in 2009. Those who are already in a relationship would be looking forward to a more harmonious relationship. However, the Goat should watch out for love triangles. And with two stars of Gossip shining upon them, the Goat should learn to mind his own business and not stick his nose in others', otherwise, it could only lead him to more trouble.
Promotions, which could include salary raise, and personal developments are waiting for the Goat in 2009. Unlucky stars threaten health and interpersonal relationships and the Goat should pay attention to these so as not to hinder his/her career development.
Monkey
Born in: 1920, 1932, 1944, 1956, 1968, 1980, 1992, 2004
Travel seems to be a good option for the Monkey in the year of the Ox. Two lucky stars shining on him, Yi Ma and Wen Chang can bring him better luck in career and learning. Yi Ma is a star of Mobility. Monkeys can actually look to a better career in distant places. And the more travelling, the more he is likely to earn. The other lucky star, Wen Chang represents intellectual achievements. For the academic researcher or whose job is clerical in nature, this star can bring good luck. The same for students and in the creative and design industries, as long as they are energetic and inspired. The year 2009 is also a good year for further education with excellent luck in examinations.
Rooster
Born in: 1921, 1933, 1945, 1957, 1969, 1981, 1993, 2005
Things may not look all too good this year and the Rooster should be prepared for oncoming pressures. But the saying "one joyful event can offset three possible mishaps" is applicable to the Rooster. This means the Rooster should work hard to make these joyful events happen, like getting married, having a child or buying a new house to offset negative vibrations. Fortunately, the Rooster has still one lucky star shining on him, Tian Yi. This represents a superior, a supervisor or someone influential who will take care of the Rooster. This could also mean getting support from family members and friends.
But the Rooster should not be complacent. If he/she is extra cautious and works even harder, there will be better luck as far as wealth, health and career are concerned. And always remember "one joyful event can offset three possible mishaps".
Dog
Born in: 1922, 1934, 1946, 1958, 1970, 1982, 1994, 2006
The Dog should brace himself for many changes, either good or bad. Happy events like having a baby, getting a new house or getting married can redirect negative energy towards the positive. Dogs are also advised to stay on the move to turn negative energy into good ones. A good year to pursue plans of working abroad or going overseas, or renovating the house. Dogs in the creative and design businesses would enjoy more recognition. There´s a chance of good fortune in careers. Dogs should be wary of poor human relationships and injuries brought about by metal objects. If it is really necessary for the Dog to handle metal objects, he should always wear protection. He/she is advised to attend more joyful occasions and do good deeds to boost good luck. With good career luck will come immense mental pressure associated with success. He/she is advised to take sufficient rest.
Pig
Born in: 1923, 1935, 1947, 1959, 1971, 1983, 1995, 2007
Pigs already in a relationship might get married. Married Pigs might become parents. Lucky stars will be able to get the Pig help from powerful men. For single female Pigs, Tai Yang would bring long term love. She is encouraged to travel to distant places for love and career since the star Tai Yang signifies outbound energy. Other lucky stars, like Yue Tang which imply realization of potential and clear logical thinking could bring a good year for those in strategic planning, creative or clerical jobs. Stars Tai Tang and Yue Tang which symbolize recognition and appreciation would definitely bring good luck in career for the Pig, and many joyful events with the help of another lucky star Tian Xi.
Unfortunately, the loneliness star Gu Chen can make the Pig feel emotionally distressed. Another unlucky star Hui Qi could increase alienation. He might not get along well with everyone. Jie Sha, the star of frustrations and difficulties, signifies that the Pig would encounter trials and difficulties before finally succeeding. Therefore the Pig should always be prepared, watchful and persevering.
Rat
Born in: 1912, 1924, 1936, 1948, 1960, 1972, 1984, 1996, 2008
Romance doesn't look too good. The rat might end up with a change of heart in love if he/she doesn't take care of his/her relationship. The year looks promising in terms of career. Star Tang Fu represents leadership and authority, which could benefit those working on the management level and in outdoor field jobs.
However, because of the star Tian Jie, there will be many trials before reaching success. Another lucky star Tian Chu which represents food and beverage could bring good luck in the hotel or restaurant business. However he is advised not to indulge himself too much in gastronomic pleasures. Personal hygiene should also be given special attention. Star Sang Men can cause health problems to elderly family members, so pay special attention to them. The Rat is also discouraged from adventurous and risky activities because of another unlucky star Zai Sha. Lastly, one unlucky star Xie Yin which represents injuries, especially on the face, or surgical operations could be avoided or pre-empted by getting his teeth cleaned by the dentist or donating blood.
